My Quest for a Slimmer Waistline and a Bigger Bicep
Kermit the Frog famously said “It’s not easy being green” (I love the K-frog, by the way), but Adidas is working on a new line of yoga clothing that’s all about the easy green. Nope, not green the color, but green as in sustainability for the sake of the environment. They’re also teaming up with yoga expert (and, let’s face it, bombshell) Rainbeau Mars in the design process, it’ll be easy in that it will be comfortable and designed for going with the yoga flow. I only wish they made maternity clothes like this. One of my biggest obstacles in working out while pregnant has been my growing size and the difficulty of being comfortable as I move.
Click here to read more about this new Rainbeau Mars line and another Adidas yoga collection. My thanks to Adidas for the heads-up.
Side note on Adidas — did you know that in Europe they don’t pronounce it the way they do here in the States? We say it sort of like “uh-dee-dus” with an emphasis on the second syllable. Over there it’s more like “ah-dee-dahs” with the emphasis on the last syllable — if I’m remembering correctly. That’s because it is a German company so they say it more German (though I’m remembering how it sounded on Dutch television ads, so maybe the Germans say it differently).

My Quest for a Slimmer Waistline and a Bigger Bicep--I'm a blogging mom somewhat obsessed with fitness. This blog primarily focuses on home fitness, such as great home equipment, the best DVD instructors and their workouts, nutrition, and other aspects of health and fitness and the quest for weight loss.

Yep, ah-dee-DAHS is the German way! It’s from combining the founder’s first name Adi (short for Adolf) and last name Dassler. And his brother founded Puma, and they’re both headquartered in the same teeny tiny town Herzogenaurach. It’s Did You Know? Wednesday!

Oh yeah, I’d forgotten about the brother and Puma, though I remember Brian telling me that before. (He is full of business-related trivia.) What’s sad is how I’d assumed (without ever actually contemplating it) that so many big companies were American that turned out to be European (like the Dutch company Philips).

Intersting. I just asked my hubby (he lived there) and he talked about all that too. Except, he didn’t realize puma was also based there either. Thanks for the random info
